Introducing the Shoji Studio's original Shoji Cube™...

  We developed our Shoji Cube™ concept in response to demand for a solution to the problem presented by completely open-plan buildings such as, smaller studio apartments and/or undivided warehouse living spaces without exterior walls containing sufficient windows, where the lighting is poor and the space unwelcoming. Although it is almost always preferable to have defined living and storage areas within every home, unfortunately, building walls in a home with the issues previously mentioned is not typically a practical solution. Building walls can be costly, as well as shutting out available natural light, making the interior appear much smaller, dingy and uncomfortably confined, which makes a property difficult to live-in, to let or to sell.

Our Shoji Cube™ is quite simply the perfect answer to all these dilemmas. The Shoji Cube™ creates very attractive, light, airy, private rooms with a spacious look and feel, which are not only very cost effective, but enhance the living space both functionally (by cleverly utilising the available light and space), and aesthetically by adding an upmarket, appealing, cosy, design element which dramatically improves existing open-plan living or work spaces.

The Shoji Cube™ is also very versatile. It can be crafted with two sides (as the one pictured does), three-sides, or four-sides (free-standing, mounted floor and ceiling with sliding doors on all sides or three sides fixed, with only one sliding opening.) The free-standing Shoji Cube™ is ideal for sitting in the middle of a larger space as a design statement with a snug private room as the centre piece!
